Ok, I don’t know if it’s working or my brain says it is so I’m able to do more - but for the first time in 4 months, I was able to open a Macaroni and Cheese box with my thumb :-)  Now I call that a miracle! It sure made me smile.  Maybe that is just the beginning to what this Nuerotin is going to do for me.

I FINALLY got my doctor to prescribe some medicine for me to try. There are no guarantees it will do anything.  I’m ready to try. I took my first pill last night and it did make me sleep VERY well.  That was wonderful for last night, but it makes me a little concerned for the day pill. I need to be awake during the day.  I did take a pill this morning. It’s Sat. and I don’t have to be anywhere. This pill, Neurotin, isn’t suppose to take it all away, just help some.  I’m going to think positive that it will make my life a little more bearable, functional, and a little less pain :) Maybe my next blog I could type with fingers instead of pencils (lol). However, I will still practice with pencils because I’m sure I’m close to breaking some kind of speed record!

God keeps reminding me to live in that “attitude of gratitude”. There is SO much I haven’t been able to do these past four years because of the Breast and Lung cancers, but there is SO much I HAVE DONE. I’m watching my children grow up into incredible children right infront of my eyes. I got a letter from Keona’s teacher telling me how amazed she is with Keona’s brains, heart, and soul. I watch Zavier at Chess tournament helping first timers. I see him helping his friend that is special needs when other boys tease him. I am so blessed.

It’s been raining (doesn’t happen often) and I have a house this week so we are covered. We have not missed one meal. We have cars to drive to school, work, and other stuff. The kds have “other stuff” like chess, guitar, kararte, jr. high winter camp. God has provided all of this! We are blessed.

I’ve challenged you to do this before, but since our country is in turmoil, remind yourself again. Write down how you are blessed.  In the morning you can start with, “I have indoor plumbing and TP”. We don’t want to sweat the lttle things, we want to be thankful for the little things!

I’ll let you know how the pills seem to be working. Until we blog again, remember YOU ARE BLESSED - AND YOU ARE MY BLESSING!
